A wedding between glass and greenery

Some wedding days feel like they’ve been carefully composed, without ever feeling staged.
L & L’s day at Domein Rotsaert was exactly that: thoughtful and elegant.

The morning began quietly on the grounds of the domain. The bride got ready in one of the rooms, with both her mother and his by her side. There was laughter, a few nerves, and that soft kind of excitement that fills a space before something important happens. Outside, soft daylight moved through the trees, and the domain felt quiet and still.

Their first look took place in the greenhouse, a space filled with glass, greenery and soft reflections. Just before that, the groom arrived at the domain in a blue vintage car, its engine announcing him long before he stepped out. When they finally saw each other, the rest of the world seemed to fall away… Just two people, taking each other in before the day unfolded.

After their first look in the greenhouse, we took some time for couple portraits across the domain. Surrounded by greenery, quiet paths and open spaces, it felt like a calm pause before the rest of the day arrived.

As the first guests began to arrive, L & L disappeared back into the rooms of the domain, hidden away while everyone took their seats by the pond for the ceremony. From there, something quietly magical unfolded: instead of walking in, they stepped into a small boat and made their way across the water. A slow, cinematic arrival, with the domain reflected around them and their guests watching in silence.

The ceremony itself was deeply emotional. The bride’s sister sang several songs, filling the air with warmth and vulnerability. With family and friends from all over - especially from Italy - gathered around the water, it felt like a moment shared across cultures, languages and generations.

Domein Rotsaert played a huge role in the atmosphere of the day. Everywhere you looked, there was green: trees, plants, glass and open space. The greenhouse and orangerie created a soft connection between indoors and outdoors, making the entire celebration feel light and natural.

Inside the orangerie, the long dinner tables stretched across the room, two elegant rectangles running side by side. They were beautifully styled with an Italian touch: lemons, warm colours and thoughtful details. It felt intimate and festive at the same time, a place where people could gather, linger and truly be together.

After the ceremony, everyone moved into the reception, followed by dinner in the orangerie. Laughter and conversation filled the space, guests beautifully dressed, glasses raised and stories shared across the long tables. The food, prepared by Odnar, was generous and beautifully served - the kind of meal people remember long after the plates are cleared.

As night fell, the celebration shifted once more. L & L stepped outside for their first dance, under the moonlight, surrounded by the quiet of the domain and the people they love. Soon after, the dance floor came alive: music, movement and joy taking over until it turned into a night no one wanted to leave.
