The person behind the camera
Some people collect memories in journals, others bring home souvenirs from far-away travels. I do it through images, and always have. As a child, I walked around with a disposable camera and an uncontrollable urge to document everything. And I really mean everything. The way sunlight filtered through the trees, the pattern of raindrops on a window, or simply my garden shed. Honestly, the most random things.
Back then, it was just fascination. Now I know better: it was the beginning of a lifelong love for photography.
That passion has grown into my side business. I love capturing other people and hearing afterwards how comfortable they felt, how it didn’t feel like a photoshoot at all. And how happy they are when they finally receive their photos. That genuinely gives me a serotonin boost.
When I’m not behind my camera, you’ll find me explaining mathematics to a group of 17- and 18-year-olds. Preferably at a chalkboard, like a true dinosaur.
I also love to travel. Experiencing different landscapes, cultures and habits is one of the best ways I know to grow as a person. Traveling gives me energy.
You’ll find me living in a quiet rural area just outside Oudenaarde, together with my husband and our two golden retrievers.

Where it all began
Early 2000s
I was rarely without a disposable camera, capturing everything around me.
2014
I received my first DSLR as a gift.
It quickly became something I carried everywhere, not just something I owned.
2015
That camera came with me to family gatherings and everyday moments.
Photographing people slowly became second nature.
2020
I officially registered my photography as a side business.
What started as a passion quietly became something more intentional. I started with capturing couples and families.
2021
I photographed my first wedding. It felt like a natural continuation of what I was already doing.
2023
My work feels calmer and more confident.
I photograph with more trust and increasingly, beyond borders.
And today I’m still helping you create your dream photographs.
